Gateways alumna Talia Guardia '12 is currently an MD-PhD student at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She graduated from Barry University in 2014 with a Bachelor's degree in biology.
Gateways alumna Jennifer Chia (nee Young) '06 has successfully defended her doctoral dissertation. On July 13, 2016, Jennifer gave a lecture and defense of her dissertation, Dendritic Cell and Stromal Cell Interactions in Skin Fibrosis, in front of an examining committee. She is scheduled to graduate form the Tri-Institutional MD-PhD program in 2018. Congratulations, Jennifer!
The 2008 Gateways to the Laboratory summer students got some hands-on experience in clinical skills during a Clinical Skills Workshop which was led by Justin Paul, a current MD-PhD student and Big Sib.
