Tri-I MD-PhD Student, Daniel Poston, Awarded Research NIH Grant

Fifth year Tri-Institutional MD-PhD student Daniel Poston has been awarded an F30 research grant from the National Institutes of Health.

This award will support Mr. Poston's research in the Bieniasz Lab at The Rockefeller University where Daniel works on identifying and characterizing human genes that influence viral infection. He focuses on retroviruses and respiratory pathogens including, most recently, the human coronaviruses.

In particular, this grant is made in support of Daniel's project "Elucidating antiviral defenses against diverse immunodeficiency viruses using a novel, high-throughput CRISPR/Cas9 screening method."
