Robert Williams, fifth year student in the Tri-Institutional MD-PhD Program, has been awarded an F30 award from the National Institutes of Health's National Cancer Institute.
Mr. Williams, currently working toward his PhD in the Birsoy Lab at The Rockefeller University studies the transcriptional mechanisms by which leukemia cells respond to treatment with L-asparaginase, a chemotherapy that depletes serum asparagine.
This grant will support up to three years of his research and clinical training.
