Brian Hurwitz, MD-PhD Student, Awarded NIH F30 Fellowship

Brian Hurwitz, a fifth year student in the Tri-Institutional MD-PhD Program, has been awarded an NIH F30 fellowship for his project The integrated stress response in stem cells and cancer by the National Cancer Institute.

As a member of the Fuchs Laboratory of Mammalian Cell Biology and Development at The Rockefeller University, Brian studies how both normal and oncogenic stem cells regulate protein synthesis and gene expression in response to stressors in the microenvironment.
