The Tri-Institutional MD-PhD Program is committed to continuing to review applications holistically, with an emphasis on the applicants' commitment to physician-scientist training as evidenced by letters of recommendation, research experiences, GPA, and other academic and community accomplishments.
MCAT scores are a single facet of a holistic review of applicants, but do not outweigh other components. Given the unique difficulty surrounding this year’s test:
Pass/Fail prerequisite courses completed during the spring, summer, and fall 2020 semesters will now be accepted.
Online prerequisite courses and labs completed during the spring, summer, and fall 2020 semesters will now be accepted.
Our secondary application has been updated to allow applicants the opportunity to share unique situations related to the COVID-19 pandemic that they have encountered.
Interviews will be conducted entirely remotely via video conference this year to minimize the need for travel during the COVID-19 pandemic. Further information regarding the interview format will be forthcoming if you are selected for interview.
