Dianne Lumaquin, MD-PhD Student, Receives Melanoma Research Foundation Award

Third year Tri-Institutional MD-PhD student Dianne Lumaquin has been names as the recipient of a Medical Student Award from the Melanoma Research Foundation

Dianne is doing her thesis research in The Richard White Lab at the Sloan Kettering Institute (MSK). This award will go toward support of her project Adipocyte-derived lipids as drivers of endoplasmic reticulum stress and invasion in melanoma investigating how the tumor microenvironment can influence cancer progression and metastasis, in particular studying how adipocyte-derived lipids can lead to phenotype switching and invasiveness in melanoma.
