Gateways to the Laboratory Summer Program

The mission of the Gateways to the Laboratory Program is to increase the number of students from backgrounds traditionally underrepresented in medicine and science who are prepared to become competitive applicants, successful MD-PhD students, and future leaders in biomedical research and academic medicine.

The Class of 2024 is the largest class in Tri-I history! The 21 students who entered the residency match matched at leading programs and institutions in the country, including Columbia, Harvard, Stanford, UPenn, Weill Cornell, and Yale.We have:
Won Jun Kim, fifth year student in the Tri-Institutional MD-PhD program, has received an F30 award from the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
