Tri-I MD-PhD 2019 Graduates All Match with Residencies

The results of the 2019 Residency Match Day were overwhelmingly positive for the Tri-Institutional MD-PhD graduating students who entered the Match. All eight of them were matched at some of the most prestigious programs and leading hostpitals in the country. Below we list the graduates with the field and institution of their residency. 

  • Julien Azimzadeh, Otolaryngology at Stanford Medicine Residency Program
  • Tasos Gogakos, Pathology at Massachusetts General Hospital
  • Andrew Gregg, Internal Medicine at University of California, Los Angeles
  • Brittany Lewis, Family Medicine at University of California San Diego Medical Center
  • Alexendar Perez, Anesthesiology at University of California, San Francisco
  • Maria Sacta, Pediatrics at Children's Hospital of Boston
  • Jonathan Steinman, Pediatrics at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia
  • Nipun Verma, Radiation Oncology at Yale-New Haven Hospital

In addition to these residency matches, two 2019 MD-PhD graduates will be pursuing their careers outside of a hospital or academic setting:

  • Kevin O'Rourke will join Regeneron, in Tarrytown, New York, as a Manager of Strategic Analysis.
  • Yuehyi Gloria Wu will join the San Fransisco office of McKinsey & Company as a Management Consultant.
