Gateways Students Present Their Research at ABRCMS

A total of ten Gateways alumni presented their research at the 2019 Annual Biomedicine Research Conference for Minority Students (ABRCMS). Held from November 13th through the 16th in Anaheim, California, the conference saw attendance of more than 5,000 undergraduates, graduate students, and researchers.

The Gateways alumni gave oral presentations and poster presentations of the research conducted during their summers at the Tri-I with Gateways, in addition to some presentations covering results from subsequently research conducted at either there home institutions or with other summer programs. 

The students presenting at ABRCMS 2019 were:

Kasra Askari (Gateways 2019), Shiva Deljookorani (Gateways 2019), Georgio Krikorian (Gateways 2018 and 2019), Kimberly Manalang (Gateways 2019), Mikaela Matera-Vatnick (Gateways 2019), Isaac Nathoo (Gateways 2019), Atekana Nyamaa (Gateways 2019), Taylor Wallace (Gateways 2019), Jira White (Gateways 2018), and Darnell Willilams (Gateways 2019).
